The "Plan"
After much discussion, Lynne and
Gerry planned to spend two years sailing the Caribbean onboard S/Y
ERIU, a 38ft. Cutter rigged Downeaster. The trip started in Sep 03,
from Trinidad. The provisional route will include the islands off the
coast of Venezuela, The Windward's, The Leeward's, Virgin Islands, Puerto
Rico,
Dominican Republic, Jamacia, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico,
Florida and the Bahamas and then return to Puerto Rico in Sep
05.
Lynne has taken a two years career break from Associated Press. She
will continue to take photos throughout the Caribbean. Gerry will
continue to be a burden on the Irish taxpayer (he's retired from the
Irish Naval Service) and hopefully keep Eriu operational.
Bearing in mind that no plan survives contact with the enemy, the
attached schedule is purely aspirational. The motto of the trip is
"go with the flow". |
